Become Tujia’s merchant

1、Register to have a merchant account

to become a Tujia merchant, what you need to do is just to register a merchant account on www.tujia.com. Once you have this account, you can log in Tujia extranet to list your property.
To protect your interests and to build the mutual trust between you and Tujia, when you register, Tujia needs you to fill in your basic information and provide one of the following qualifications: a, ID information and the copy of its frontal and back side; b, passport information and the copy of the inside first page; c, the copy of business license. Copy for qualification information requirements: less than 2M; JPG or PNG.

2、List your property

when you list your property on Tujia.com, you will fill in details as property address, property decription, features, supporting facilities and checkin instructions and upload property photos and then set up property rental rates and room availability.
This information will help guests know your property as well as possible in a short time.
The more detailed and accurate your content is, the faster you will get the bookings.

3、Tujia‘s verification

Property go live for rental sales on www.tujia.com after information is audited by Tujia staff.
After you submit the property information, Tujia.com will audit and, if the information you provided all meets Tujia’s standards, then your property will be displayed on Tujia.com; if the information you provided doesn’t meet our standards, then we will inform you and tell you the reasons why you failed the audit process on property management page, from which you can edit the information accordingly and submit again. So far, Tujia.com mainly focuses on China mainland travelers, Tujia.com will translate the information you provided in your language into Chinese for free for you and then display on www.tujia.com for Chinese travelers to view and make reservations.
We have a certain standards of property audit.
Texts: non-politically sensitive; non-discrimination; non-fraudulent
Photos: a) 6 photos at least, 30 photos at most; try to introduce your house as much as possible: bedrooms, living room, kitchen, dining room, bathroom and balcony… b) Pixels recommended: 1200*750 c) Size of photos: less than 10M d) No watermarks, no logo, no contact or advertising information

Booking Function

Instant-bookable and on-request modes are two ways for guest to make reservations on www.tujia.com .
For on-request mode, when a booking is created, the booking needs to be confirmed by merchant, and then guest will pay for the booking to complete the booking process.
For instant-bookable mode, when a booking is created, the booking doesn’t need to be confirmed by merchant, and guest will pay for the booking directly to complete the booking process.
To decrease the complaint rate and manage the risks, tujia.com will put the newly-launched properties in on-request mode by default.
If merchant can manage room rate and room availability timely and keep rejection rate low (in principle merchant is not allowed to reject instant-bookable bookings), merchant can contact and inform Tujia staff to change the mode from on-request to instant-bookable.

Hospitality Standard

It is very important to keep the communication between merchant and guest timely and effective, which not only can help guest find a satisfying place to stay, but also can help merchant to get a real booking fast.
When a guest contacts you, please reply and answer guest’s questions in time and with enthusiasm.
If the guest is not satisfied with their first selected property eventually, we suggest that you recommend your other properties displayed on www.tujia.com or your friend’s displayed properties on www.tujia.com to the guest.
Before guest checks in, you may want to clean your property comprehensively to make sure the place is tidy and clean; check and fix housing facilities regularly to make sure they can be used normally during the guest’s stay.
On guest’s arrival day, you need to keep reachable to make sure guest can find you and check in successfully. In special circumstances, if your property is not ready or not suitable for guest to stay, please contact guest or Tujia staff in advance and try to work out a solution together.
